3 Days On The South Coast
Day 1.
We start the journey by traveling to the Unesco World Heritage site Þingvellir national park, where the Mid-Atlantic rift splits and the Icelandic parliament was founded over a thousand years ago. There, you get a view from “the edge of America” over the Mid-Atlantic continental divide. Continuing, we pass the geothermally heated Laugarvatn lake before arriving at the Great Geysir hot spring area, strewn with hot springs of all sizes. The most spectacular one, Strokkur, blasts boiling water up to 30m skywards, up to 3 times in a minute. After some quality time at Geysir, a short drive takes us to Iceland’s most visited waterfall, Gullfoss, where glacier meltwater thunders in two stages into a 70m deep basalt canyon. The day leads us to the grand Langjökull glacier, the second largest glacier in the country. In the summer, we will venture onto the glacier in the superjeep, weather and conditions permitting, before heading to the beautiful Hotel Rangá where we will spend the first night.

Day 2.
The South Coast of Iceland has many natural wonders to enjoy. We will drive
through lava fields, past mountains and glaciers to the southernmost part of
Iceland. We will visit Seljalandsfoss waterfall where you can experience the waterfall from all sides and walk behind it. We will also see the magnificent Skógarfoss waterfall and the black sand beach Reynisfjara. We then visit the tiny village of Vík before our day wraps up again at Hotel Rangá.

Day 3.
On our final day we have two options but the final choice will not be made by us but the weather and conditions determined by land.
Option A is heading to Þórsmörk, also known as Thorsmork in English, the mystical "Woods of Thor, god of thunder. Discover canyons, woodlands, and caves that provide the perfect backdrop for short walks. A thrilling adventure delving into the heart of Iceland's most enchanting wilderness.
Option B is Landmannalaugar. Traveling deep into Iceland's eruptive interior, we take in scenery so unreal it is repeatedly used for other-world Hollywood A-films. When we arrive in Landmannalaugar we can hike, or dip in Iceland's most famous natural hot pool, or both.
And finally we head back, traveling north through surreal surroundings with a stop at Gjáin (Games of thrones site) before driving towards Reykjavík.
